Pre-SPP3 Checklist (UNCOMPLETE)

Something we've had to fill out.

(1) What adverts or companies have you viewed for the CV writing exercise:

CV writing exercise? I'll have to check what this means?

(2) What form is your portfolio e.g. dvd, web site etc.?

My portfolio will be in the form of a website, which can easily burnt to a DVD (with AutoRun is necessary).

(3) When will you be able to show your SPP tutor your portfolio?

The portfolio will be ready at end of May, a few days before the deadline.

(4) What are your plans for work over the Easter period for the Client project?

Capture all footage, look for background music to edit the footage to.

(5) What are your plans for work over the Easter period for the PRP project?

Complete artefact 4.

(6) Give details of your understanding of how you will show your work in
the exhibition:

I don't know yet, but I am happy to bring my monitor if possible and my display will be mostly digital.

Filming Day 1

Today is the first of two main days of filming. It's the smaller of the two days. I've secured a audio guy to help in that area (Ash Bullivant).

The big day is on Wednesday 5th. As well as taking along Ash again, I am hoping to secure someone who regularly films at these events as well as a dedicated photographer. In addition, I will also be taking my own compact digital camera (Fujifilm FinePix F40fd), miniDV camera (Canon MD101) and tripod (Velbon CX480) for any additional extra footage.

Most Wanted MM08 Volunteer Submission

I have requested to be volunteer in either the rigger, photo and/or cinema category/categories - wherever they need me really. I attended all the lectures in January and did put myself down but I noticed I was absent from here so I've 'reapplied'.

Audio Help Update

Ash Bullivant and Rich Solanin have responded to my reply to their reply. Ash can do it and Rich can't any longer. Still awaiting for replies from Adrian and Glyn. If I get nothing back by tomorrow, it seems Ash will be man for Friday!

Equipment Booked

I have the equipment booked from Friday 29th morning to Monday 3rd morning (filming will take place Friday 29th evening). I will also need the equipment on Wednesday 5th all day so I'll book that on Monday 3rd morning (I couldn't pre-book it for some reason).

Audio Help Returns

I have e-mailed the four guys back with:-

How does the Glo Bar on the 29th February at 2:30 pm and the 5th March (all day) sound? We really shouldn't have to pay (I have been assured we won't have to) so that covers that. Travel is all sorted too I believe :) Can you come either/both? The more we can get for our portfolios the better! However, three other guys have also responded and I can only take one of you to each but knowing my luck you'll all want to come to both and I'd have to choose :( :P

"Hi Elliot, my name is Richard Solaini i dont think you know me, you have probably seen my around at uni though. Anyway i just read your email about you needing a sound recordist for your project. Just wondering if you have any more details, locations, roughly how long will be spent shooting etc.

Sounds like it could be fun and i'm always up for expanding my portfolio. My workload is pretty heavy at the moment though so it would be good to know a few more details.

"Hey Elliot, Im Ash Bullivant, im 2nd year MM and would be interested in helping you. I have a keen interest in the outdoors, extreme sports and such. I mainly make white water kayaking videos but would like to expand into other areas. Im filming myself this week and possibly at the weekend.
